SWABI: A police constable died while four others sustained injuries when a pilot vehicle of police met an accident near Swabi Interchange on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway on Thursday.
Rapid Response Force officials said that the pilot vehicle of a senior police official turned turtle after its tyre burst out due to over speeding near Swabi Interchange on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway.
As a result, a cop identified as Hayat Jan died while four other cops sustained injuries in the accident. The body and injured cops were shifted to the Mardan Medical Complex, Mardan, for medico-legal formalities and medical treatment.
Soon after the accident, Deputy superintendent of Police, Sheikh Maltoon Circle, Izhar Shah along with police rushed to the spot and carried out rescue and relief activities.
