Nowshera residents flay power suspension

NOWSHERA: The residents of Armour Colony have flayed the hours-long power supply suspension that continued for over eight hours.The residents, including children, patients and elderly people, faced great hardships after the power supply was suspended at 11pm and restored at 6 am.

The elders of Armour Colony, including Zahoor Ahmad, Wajid Ali and others told reporters that electricity in their area remained suspended for over eight hours due to which they could not sleep. They urged the government to take notice of the long power disruption in their area.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party local activist Abdus Samad Paracha expressed anger at the hours-long loadshedding and ever-rising tariffs of electricity and natural gas.He said that excessive loadshedding and rising tariffs of electricity and natural gas had compelled the people to come on to the streets and register anger at the government.
