PESHAWAR: A key commander of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Tipu group, was killed during an operation in Bannu in the early hours of Sunday.
An official said an intelligence-based operation was conducted by CTD and spy agencies on the information that TTP Tipu Gul group commander Wali Ullah and 6 to 7 other unidentified terrorists were present at Gambila Darga in the limits of Gambila Police Station in Bannu.
During the operation, exchange of fire took place between police and terrorists for 30 minutes, during which Wali Ullah was killed. He was son-in-law of Tipu Gul and was wanted by the CTD Bannu in multiple cases of target killings and attacks on police/LEAs.
