He expressed these views while reacting to the budget 2024-25 here on Friday. Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi raised the question that the budget has been presented but where were the people in the budget? He said that tax had been imposed on minor items use by students. The government ignored everyone from the industrial sector to the farm, he lamented.

The people seem to be burdened under the heavy load of taxes, but no relief had been given to them from anywhere, he added. He said that taxes were imposed on everything from essential items to minor items of bakery, from pens to medicines. He said that the people were already facing economic crisis but after the federal budget, their financial burden had been increased.
