Both the leaders discussed the political situation and especially the lawlessness in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Mahmood Khan said KP had been hit hard by terrorist activities, natural disasters, poverty and unemployment in the past. “Despite that the present federal government has ignored the people of KP by not including 91 development schemes worth billions meant for the province in the Annual Development Plan,” he complained to the PPP chairman whose party is a partner of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN)-led central government.

The PTIP chief requested the PPP head to use his good offices and take up this issue with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and urge him to review the decision. The sources said Bilawal acknowledged that KP had suffered heavily in the past due to war on terror and other calamities, adding the sacrifices of the people of the province were worth appreciation. They said Bilawal wished to have cooperation with the PTIP.Mahmood Khan said his party believed in maintaining political links with other political forces but added that he would take any decision after consulting other party leaders. It is worth mentioning here that the KP governor has already met Mahmood Khan earlier twice.
