PM to inaugurate HAZECO office

MANSEHRA: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif would formally inaugurate the office of Hazara Electric Supply Company (Hazeco) upon his arrival from China next week.

“All is set for the formal launching of the Hazara Electricity Supply Company with the start of next fiscal year, and the Prime Minister will inaugurate the office on his arrival from Beijing,” MNA Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, who is also Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Central senior vice-president, said.

He said that Hazara Electric Supply Company (Hazeco) would be separated from Peshawar Electric Supply Company from July 1, and appointments of its hierarchy and management, including Chief Executive Officer, had already been finalised.

Initially, over 5,000 employees, the PMLN leader said would be appointed in the newly launched power company in various cadres.“With regular functioning of Hazeco, issues of prolonged power-outages, low voltages and inflated bills faced by consumers would also come to an end,” Sardar Yousuf said. The MNA said that the financial affairs of Hazeco would also be separated from Pesco at the start of the next financial year.Meanwhile, an aged woman died of scorching heat in the Darband area of the district.
