Land dispute claims five lives in Peshawar village

PESHAWAR: Five people were killed and another injured in a firing incident over a property dispute in Chamkani village on the outskirts of the provincial capital here on Friday.

An official said the deceased included two brothers. Many people offering Friday prayers panicked due to heavy fire as they mistook it for a terrorist attack.β€œOne person identified as Jamil was killed and Iftikhar was wounded from one side while Tanveer, Babar, Niaz Ali Shah and Wasiullah were killed from the other side,” an official said. He added the two rivals had a property dispute. A day earlier, three brothers from Charsadda were killed over an enmity. The entire village mourned the death of three brothers.
