KP tourism advisor orders removal of encroachments in Galiyat

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister on Tourism, Culture, and Archaeology, Zahid Chanzeb, has directed officials to remove encroachments in Galiyat immediately.

He also instructed them to report all leased properties within 10 days. During a detailed visit to Nathiagali and Dongagali. The CM aide inspected parks, public washrooms and parking areas.

He expressed displeasure over the poor condition of public washrooms and ordered the allocation and maintenance of 20 washrooms each for men and women. He emphasised on the importance of keeping the facilities clean and available for tourists.

He also directed the preparation of a land map in Donga Gali to establish a modern parking area to address parking issues effectively. Zahid Chanzeb visited Himala House and instructed the completion of ongoing renovation work, including the provision of Wi-Fi and other facilities for tourists.

Zahid Chanzeb,the need to provide vehicles and motorcycles to the tourism police stationed in Galiyat and other tourist areas. He ordered the establishment of check-posts where uniformed, courteous police personnel would assist and guide tourists, enhancing their experience.The advisor instructed the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) to clear all road encroachments and submit a detailed report on various leased properties’ rest areas within 10 days.
