LALAMUSA: Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain has said that the cost of essential food commodities is experiencing a notable decline due to governmental interventions.

He said this while talking to newsmen here on Wednesday. “In a proactive stance towards price reduction, the Punjab Assembly is set to enact new legislation “Punjab Price Control of Essential Commodity Bill 2024” by May 30,” he said. “The government is setting up Price Control Committees with Price Control Magistrates to monitor and regulate prices. This is to reduce the burden on citizens and fight against artificial inflation,” he added.

Every conceivable effort will be exerted towards this noble end. He also visited the Gujrat Small Chamber and Industry and industrial area. During his visit to Gujrat Small Chamber and Industry, he apprised the business community about government initiatives and discussed various proposals. President Gujrat Small Chamber and Traders Chaudhry Muhammad Faraz was also present.
