DPOs directed to tighten security of Chinese nationals

MANSEHRA: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Hazara Range, Tahir Ayub Khan on Wednesday directed the district police officers of Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas to lead the security of Chinese nationals in their respective districts.

“The Chinese are our guests and our hostility demands us to protect the life of the visitors on our soil,” he said while speaking at the joint gathering of the police from Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas districts in Pattan.

Tahir Ayub laid a floral wreath on the memorial of the police martyrs and offered fateha.The DIG said Chinese engineers and workers executing energy projects in the Kohistan region were being given foolproof security.

“You should maintain liaison with other law-enforcement agencies to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Chinese moving anywhere in the region through Karakoram Highway,” he said.

The DPOs of Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas Mohammad Umar and Amjad Hussain Khan briefed the DIG on measures being taken by the police for the security of Chinese nationals in their respective districts.
