Programme launched to empower KP youth

PESHAWAR: The European Union launched a new programme to empower the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with essential skills to prepare them for the job market.

A press release said the event was held at the Vocational Training Centre of Excellence in Hayatabad to support the creation of green jobs in KP province.European Union (EU) and Germany aim at transforming the vocational training landscape in KP through support to selected VET schools across the province that will be better equipped, trained staff and curricula catered for the demand of the labour market.

Addressing the gathering, Abdul Karim Toreder, Special Assistant to Chief Minister, emphasized the government’s efforts to relaunch KP’s economy, underscoring the pivotal role of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme in this endeavor.
