LALAMUSA: Four individuals, including three members of the transgender community, were apprehended by law enforcement after a bold attack on a local police station.
Efforts were underway to arrest individuals involved in the incident. The clash reportedly began when police officers stopped Hira, a transgender, and her male companion. Allegations of mistreatment during a ‘stop and search’ escalated into a heated argument, resulting in Hira and her companion being taken into custody, subjected to physical violence, and eventually released.
A high-level inquiry committee, led by SP Investigation, was formed for investigation. A case involving numerous charges was filed against a total of 27 individuals, with 20 identities still unknown. The charges against the transgender individuals encompassed 12 different sections. The FIR outlined the events, alleging that a group of transgenders armed with sticks forcibly entered the police station at around 7 am. The attackers, were identified as Hira, Sajjad Ali, Mustafa alias Bulbul, Nighain, and 20 unnamed accomplices. They reportedly assaulted a police officer, abducted two officers, and attempted to take them to an undisclosed location. However, their plans were foiled by prompt police action. In a disturbing turn of events, the protesters stripped off their clothing and engaged in provocative behavior, escalating the situation.
