PARACHINAR: A coalmine collapsed in the central part of the Kurram district here on Sunday leaving one worker dead and injuring five others.
Kurram Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud said that a quarry in Ali Sherzai area caved in after being weakened by the rains, trapping the six miners working there.He said the local people and the Rescue 1122 emergency service workers rushed to the site and launched the rescue efforts.The official said four miners were pulled out of the debris in an injured condition.
