TNFJ rallies demand shrines reconstruction

PESHAWAR: Rallies were staged in Peshawar and other parts of KP on Wednesday under the aegis of the Tehreek Nafaze Fiqh Jafariya (TNFJ) to call for the reconstruction of the shrines in two sacred cemeteries in Saudi Arabia.

A procession was taken out from Imambargah Ghulam Haider in Qissa Khwani which passed through the bazaar.The TNFJ KP chapter chief Syed Ghazanfar Ali, Agha Abbas Ali Kiyani, Allama Syed Zahir Ali Shah Kazmi, Allama Musa Raza Al-Hussaini, Alama Jouhar Meer, Mir Ali Arif Zahidi, Sajid Karbalai, and others led the protest.

The participants of the rally were chanting slogans and carrying banners and placards inscribed with demands.They called for the reconstruction of the shrines at Jannatul Baqi in Madina and Jannatul Mualla in Makkah cities of Saudi Arabia.

The speakers said the movement for reconstructing the shrines at the two cemeteries and elsewhere in the holy land was not limited to any particular school of thought but was the voice of all the Muslims.
