Pak-China friendship termed exemplary

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah has said that Pakistan and China have a longstanding friendship, which is considered exemplary worldwide.

He expressed these views while talking to the media during his visit to China Window, a Chinese Cultural Centre in Peshawar. The minister visited various galleries of China Window, signed the friendship wall, and recorded comments in the guest book.

He said the main reason for the great Pakistan-China relations was the full trust of both countries in each other. Syed Qasim Ali Shah said besides the friendly relationship between the two countries, economic and cultural relations were worth mentioning. The minister referred to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and said that the cluster of projects was aimed at the economic development of Pakistan.

“Over 200,000 employment opportunities would be created with the establishment of Rashakai Economic Zone. Pakistan will get valuable foreign exchange from exports to Central Asian Republics,” he said while elaborating on his statement. In response to a question related to law and order, the minister said the government would ensure the security of all foreigners, including Chinese people.

The minister said the China Window had given the people of Peshawar and those of KP an opportunity to come closer to Chinese brothers and sisters. He was all praise for the Chinese language teaching programme at the China Window. Earlier, the minister was briefed about the China Window and told that the center had been visited by a large number of people in a short time.
