PESHAWAR: The deputies were given acting charge following the suspension of four cops after an attack on a carrying Chinese nationals in Bisham last month.

The federal government suspended four officers, including, Regional Police Officer, Hazara, Muhammad Ijaz Khan, Deputy Inspector General of Special Security Unit, Zafar Ali and Muhammad Suleman and Jamil Akhtar, who were posted as district police officers in Upper and Lower Kohistan districts.

Many were surprised as to why the officers of Hazara region were suspended if the incident had happened in another region. Many raised eyebrows over the government as the area, where the incident had happened, neither falls in the jurisdiction of the RPO Hazara nor any of the suspended DPOs.
