IT teachers seek regularisation

PESHAWAR: The Information Technology (IT) teachers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to regularise their services.

Speaking at a meeting here, president of All IT Teachers and Lab in-charges Basirullah Khattak and Secretary General of the association Jamshid said that government had recruited IT teachers for the state-run schools in Khyber Pakhtun-khwa. They said that the government extended the project for a year after its expiry in 2015. The IT teachers said that the second phase would also expire this in 2016.

The teachers said that the government had regularised the services of officials recruited in other cadres. They said that the IT teachers were appointed through NTS in a transparent manner. They asked the government to regularise their services so that they could perform their duties with efficiencies.
