Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s watch worth more than a million dollars made headlines on Tuesday when his team was going toe-to-toe with Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Spaniard was donning a Richard Mille watch, which is worth £1 million ($1.26 million) at Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, according to TNT Sports.

Only 50 models were made of the watch, called the Calibre RM27-01. It was a tribute to Rafael Nadal.

The company, describing the watch, says that it is the lightest mechanical timepiece. The watch weighs only 18.83 grams including the strap, equivalent to around four A4 size sheets, as per CNN.

“The record was smashed in 2013 with this watch weighing exactly 18.83 grams, including the strap, which is the heaviest part. This was a huge challenge,” the company said.

The football manager is often praised for his sense of style while on the sidelines. His love for fashion is not new. He trod the catwalk for Spanish designer Antonio Miró in 1993 while playing for Barcelona.
