Goaltender Connor Ingram delivered a standout performance as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Seattle Kraken 3-0 on Tuesday.
Ingram marked his 29th birthday with a 27-save shutout, his second of the season, helping Edmonton extend their winning streak to four games.
The Oilers opened the scoring early and maintained control throughout the match. Goals from Max Jones, Kasperi Kapanen and captain Connor McDavid secured the victory.
Edmonton improved to 38-28-9 on the season and has now won six of its last eight games. The team also moved closer in the Pacific Division standings, sitting two points behind leaders Anaheim and three ahead of Vegas in third place.
The Oilers have been particularly effective when scoring first, holding a 28-5-5 record in those situations this season.
For Seattle, the defeat continues a difficult stretch. The Kraken have now lost six of their last seven games and remain just outside a wild-card playoff position.
Goaltender Philipp Grubauer made 21 saves for Seattle, but the team struggled to generate enough offence to challenge Edmonton.
