Fraser Minten lands massive seven-year deal with Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have signed forward Fraser Minten to a seven-year, $50.4 million contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday.
The deal runs through the 2033-34 NHL season and carries an annual cap hit of $7.2 million.
Minten, 22, was originally selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
Boston acquired the Vancouver native in March 2025 as part of the trade that sent Brandon Carlo to Toronto.
“Since joining our organization, Fraser has continued to grow and earn the accelerated trust of his teammates and coaching staff,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said in a team statement.
Minten played all 82 games for Boston last season, recording career highs of 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 points.
“This is a mutual long-term commitment that reflects our confidence in Fraser and the important role he will play, as well as Fraser’s belief in our team moving forward,” Sweeney said.
