Tourist attractions in KP to be developed, says CM’s aide

MANSEHRA: Advisor to Chief Minister for Culture and Tourism Zahid Chanzeb on Thursday said that funds would be earmarked in the next financial year’s budget to lay the communication infrastructure in Kaghan valley and the rest of the tourist attractions in the province.

“Our government wants to promote tourism in the province but lack of communication and other facilities are hurdles in its way and we are going to earmark funds in the coming budget to address all such issues,” he told a delegation.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA from Mansehra, Sardar Shahjehan Yousuf led the delegation mostly comprising people from the tourism industry.The advisor to the chief minister told the delegation that the Communication infrastructure would be laid in Kaghan valley, Battakundi and Babusar Top areas in the district.

“The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a heaven on earth and showcasing its natural essence at national and international stage is one of our prime objectives to attract tourists,” Chanzeb said.He said his department was seriously working on a project to install a chairlift in Kaghan valley and finalising its feasibility report.

“We are serious in the promotion of winter tourism and would develop infrastructure to make it possible,” Chanzeb said.Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Shahjehan said the Siran and Konsh valleys were awesome recreational destinations in the district.
