TANK: A cop embraced martyrdom when unidentified bike riders opened fire on him at the Gomal Bazaar here on Friday.
District Police Officer (DPO) Iftikhar Shah said that the cop, Wasim, was sitting in a shop in Gomal Bazaar when unidentified persons riding on a motorbike arrived there and opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
The body of the fallen cop was handed over to the family after a postmortem at the District Headquarters Hospital.
