MANSEHRA: Returning Officer (RO) Hajrah Samee is yet to reconsolidate the results of NA-15 and issue forms 48 and 49 as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) suspended the form 47 of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed candidate Shahzada Gustasap Khan.

“We have been summoned by the RO for the reconsolidation of results and issuance of form 48, but the ECP cancelled form 47 already issued to Shahzada Gustasap Khan until the next order,” Mufti Kifayatullah the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl said.

The RO for NA-15 Mansehra-II couldn’t issue form 38 after former Pakistan Muslim League-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, who is one of the contestants, challenged in the ECP the form 47 of the win of candidate Shahzada Gustasap Khan.

“The reconsolidation process and issuance of form 48 which would be followed by form 49 would reveal how many employees’ ballots were received by all contestants who vied for this constituency,” Kifayatullah said.

Shahzada Gustasap Khan, when approached, said that the consolidation process under which

forms 48 and 47 would be finalised might be completed before the oath-taking ceremony of the National Assembly. When this correspondent reached Hajrah Samee’s office to meet her to take her version, she was not present there.
