The case was initiated when the Kalu Khan Police Station in Swabi registered a complaint against Farooq Ahmed. Subsequently, the accused was apprehended, and the trial began.

Advocate Mubashir presented evidence during the trial, including eyewitness testimonies, in support of his arguments. He asserted that both medical and circumstantial evidence against the accused were robust, leaving no room for leniency. The defense argued that significant inconsistencies in the evidence raised doubts about the accused’s guilt. The court, satisfied with the evidence and the severity of the crime, handed down the verdict of the death penalty and fine.
