6.6pc of polling staff absent from training

PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan has taken notice of the absence of 6.6 per cent of the polling staff from training and asked the chief secretary to take action against the absent staff.

An official said that training of 23810 presiding officers and assistant presiding officers had been completed. The official added that KP chief secretary had directed the commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure that all the polling staff was available for training. The official said the training of the staff would continue till February 1.
