NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) and ex-defence minister Pervez Khattak said on Saturday that neither the bat nor the player were existed, claiming that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will also be kicked out from the political arena on February 8, 2024, the date fixed for holding the upcoming general elections.
“Ex-prime minister Imran Khan’s confrontational politics caused immense harm to the nation. He was a more skilled and confident liar than former president Asif Ali Zardari and ex-prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif,” he was speaking at a gathering in Nizampur where Pakistan People’s Party activist Baseer Khattak along with his family members announced joining the PTIP.
Pervez Khattak slammed Imran Khan for raising so-called slogans of “new Pakistan” and “change”, saying his stubbornness halted development and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He contended that the PTIP had garnered popular support due to the commendable performance in KP. He said that the nation had endured decades of plundering, resulting in the prevailing severe economic crisis.
The ex-defence minister said he had approved the western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project to develop the province and create employment opportunities.
He said that people had great expectations from PTI but the party and its leadership neither respected the elected representatives nor worked for the welfare and prosperity of the people.
“I established PTIP as the PTI neither worked for a new Pakistan nor for the development in the country,” he said, adding that the PTI leadership had the only agenda to create chaos and violence in the society and provoke the people against the state.
