PPP leader in Swat joins PMLN

MINGORA: A local Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader on Saturday resigned from the basic party membership and announced to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

Dost Mohammad Khan was a former candidate for the National Assembly constituency from Swat. He made the decision about joining the PMLN at a press conference in the presence of Engineer Amir Muqam.

Speaking on the occasion, PMLN provincial President Amir Muqam said that his party would sweep the next general election. Welcoming the new entrants, he said that only the PMLN had the ability to steer the country towards economic stability and progress. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for the recently conducted intra-party election and said that the announcement about the office-bearers was not made in the absence of the party workers, which created doubts about the entire exercise. The PMLN leader said that the PTI government had nominated him in 35 cases, adding that his son was arrested while the arrest warrants for his wife were also issued. He said that the PTI leaders conspired against the country

and attacked army installations on May 9.

Muslim Sabir Khan adds from Takhtbhai: PMLN leader Amir Muqam has urged the people to vote his party to power in the upcoming elections to usher in a new era of development and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The PMLN politics revolve around the welfare of the masses and development of Pakistan,” he said while addressing a workers’ convention of the party at Safiabad in Union Council Makori in PK-61 here.

Former KP governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, former lawmakers Captain Safdar, Jamshed Khan Mohmand, Shaji Gul and others also addressed the convention.

Amir Muqam said that the PMLN would sweep the general elections and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would focus on KP development after becoming prime minister of the country for the fourth time in the history of Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was now a closed chapter, adding that former prime minister Imran Khan was responsible for the present day sorry state of affairs of Pakistan.

He said that his party governments had always brought positive changes in the lives of the people but this time the coalition government had only saved

the country from economic default and put the economy back on track

Amir Muqam, who is also provincial president of PMLN, said that his party vision was uniform development of the country, people’s socioeconomic welfare and resolution of problems at their doorsteps.
