HANGU: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Akhtar Hayat Gandapur on Tuesday said that the KP police force was fighting the terrorists despite limited resources.
He was speaking as chief guest at the passing-out parade at the Police Training College, Hangu. He also inspected the guard of honour. As many as 2573 cops, including 239 women, passed out after undergoing training at the college.
Police Training College Commandant Fasihuddin, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kohat Range, Sher Akbar, District Police Officer Nisar Ahmad Khan and other senior officials were also present on this occasion.
Akhtar Hayat said that efforts were being made to provide modern training and weaponry to the police forces to better equip the cops to fight terrorism and maintain the law and
order. He said that the KP police forces rendered matchless sacrifices for the restoration of peace in the country. The IGP urged the cops to treat the people with respect and perform their duty with devotion.
