CM wants newspaper markets in districts

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed the authorities concerned to include a proper scheme for the establishment of newspaper markets at districts throughout the province in the next Annual Development Plan to facilitate the newspapers hawkers.

He was addressing at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of Nowshera Newspapers Hawkers Union at the Chief Minister’s House Wednesday morning, said a handout.

The chief ministered administered oath to the newly elected office-bearers of Nowshera Newspapers Hawkers Union. The new office-bearers included President Sher Zaman, Senior Vice-President Dar-ul-Aman, Vice-President Mohammad Imtiaz, General Secretary Mohammad Akhtar and Chairman Majlis-e-Aamla Ajmeer Khan.

General Secretary Muhammad Akhtar presented demands of newspapers hawkers. The chief minister said the PTI was striving to serve the poor masses. He said that utilization of resources for the welfare of the common man was the moto of PTI led provincial government.

General Secretary Hawkers Association Tikka Khan also addressed the ceremony and termed administering oath to the newly elected office-bearers by the chief minister as great honour for the newspaper hawkers.
