Woman ‘facilitator’ of PAF base attackers arrested

PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday arrested an alleged female facilitator of the terrorists who had attacked the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in Badaber on September 18, 2015.

According to an official statement, a special unit of the CTD arrested Zari Zadgai, alias Parveen, from Telaband village of Badaber area on a tip-off from intelligence agencies. In preliminary investigation, the accused revealed that she had provided the terrorists food and water. Besides, the statement said, the woman also provided them empty bottles that were later used in hand-grenades and fire bombs in the attack. The statement said interrogation of the woman is still underway. At least 29 people, including an army captain, and about 13 terrorists had been killed in the attack.
