The unilateral decision taken by six multinational pharmaceutical companies to increase drugs prices by 15 percent without first getting the approval of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap) is shocking.
Lifesaving drugs have already been costing people dearly. This sudden increase will make it harder for people to buy drugs for cardiac ailments, blood pressure, weakness, fever and painkillers. This increase is unjustifiable. Drap should move the court and seek a stay on this hike.
