Waste management awareness drive
Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) in collaboration with students of Kinnaird University for Women carried out an awareness drive at Army Public School, Model Town with aim to sensitise young students on Solid Waste Management particularly waste segregation and waste recycling applying three bins system at household level. Officials said the activity was carried out on Sunday by Deputy Manager Communication Muhammad Umair Khan along with Kinnaird University’s Environment Department students. They briefed students of APS in detail with the help of documentary and interactive session. Students were told how they can play their role in promoting waste management techniques like reduce, reuse and recycling at household level. Students along with teachers expressed profound interest in knowing LWMC’s system of cleanliness in place across the city. —Correspondent
