ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with senior officials of the Finance and Economic Affairs Divisions here Tuesday, said a statement.
According to the statement, preparations for the upcoming World Bank/IMF Spring meetings scheduled to be held at Washington from 14-17 April 2016 were reviewed on the occasion.
It said the finance minister expressed satisfaction on the preparation for effective participation of Pakistan delegation in the meetings.
The Finance minister stated that in view of Prime Minister’s program to proceed to United Kingdom for medical check up, he has decided not to proceed to Washington to attend the Spring meetings and the delegation comprising Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Secretary Finance and Secretary Economic Affairs Division would represent the country in these meetings.
