APNS, its Chinese counterpart sign MoU on media cooperation
KARACHI: The All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) signed a cooperation memorandum with the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) on April 18, 2018 at Beijing for developing bilateral media ties between Pakistan and China under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) framework.
Kazi Asad Abid, Senior Vice President of APNS, and Ms. Wang Dongmei, Executive Secretary of ACJA, signed the memorandum of cooperation. According to the agreement, Pakistan and China will organize and send media delegations of the prominent media outlets to visit both the countries to promote communication and mutual cooperation. The media teams will also cover the Belt and Road Initiative projects and share experiences and learning. Regular seminars and academic exchanges will also take place. The APNS and the ACJA will organize seminars, forums, annual meetings and workshops for the benefit of media. They will also train the media practitioners of both the countries.
Besides journalist and academic exchange programs, the two organizations will also help facilitate the business activities. The partnership will ensure vibrant media cooperation between Pakistan and China.
