Blanket of fog creates hurdles for drivers plying roads in UAE

DUBAI: Drivers plying the roads in the UAE on Sunday were warned about low visibility owing to a blanket of thick fog.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology reported dense fog over Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and most western inland areas, with visibility down to 50 meters at its worst.

DUBAI: Drivers plying the roads in the UAE on Sunday were warned about low visibility owing to a blanket of thick fog.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology reported dense fog over Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and most western inland areas, with visibility down to 50 meters at its worst.

The Dubai Police took to twitter on Sunday and posted a warning to drivers caught in the fog, urging them to be careful.

“Dear Driver: Don’t drive recklessly and remember that there is always someone waiting for you to return safely,” the police department tweeted.

According to latest reports, the visibility has improved but is still limited to 700-meters.
