A former Washington police officer, who was wanted for two killings, was found dead with self-inflicted gunshot wound following a car chase in the Oregon state, Khon 2 reported.
Elias Huizar, a former Yakima police officer was on the run with his one-year-old baby who he shared with his 17-year-old girlfriend.
The multi-state manhunt began on Monday afternoon, after Huizar shot his ex-wife Amber Marie Rodriguez eight times in a school parking lot in front of their nine-year-old son whose name has not been disclosed.
After killing her, he fled from the scene.
Later, the body of another female was found in his home, who was the mother of his one-year-old.
According to reports, Huizar, 39, was living with his 17-year-old girlfriend who he had met when she was 11. He impregnated her at the age of 15.
In February, the teen had reported to police that Huizar had sexually assaulted her 16-year-old friend. He was charged with rape of both the teen and her friend. He was out on bail impending trial.
In addition, Rodriguez had also filed a protection order in which she wrote that she feared for her child's safety.
In 2021, Huizar left the police department "after receiving discipline," after which he started working at an elementary school.
