Bear attacks woman for taking selfie
British tourist chose to roll down the window for taking selfie
A bear attacked a British tourist while she was taking selfies in her car as she travelled along a mountain road.
The 72-year-old visitor from Scotland chose to roll down the window and take a picture when she spotted two of the enormous bears yesterday while travelling on the Transfăgărăşan mountain road in Argeş County, Romania, according to Mirror.
Outside the car, one bear got onto its hind legs and proceeded to maul her arm.
Fortunately, the woman's companion drove away quickly to escape further attack, and the OAP was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after the attack took place in the Carpathian Mountains.
She told local media: "I come from Scotland." A reporter asked: "Your arm is okay?" The tourist replied: "No, it’s sore. We were in the car and we were going to take a picture. And the bears came up to the window."
The tourist said in her hospital bed: "I just wanted to take a picture of him."
Subsequently, medical professionals have verified that the woman's wounds do not pose a threat to her life.
In order to chase the bears out of the area after the attack, the police divided themselves into many teams.
Additionally, they cautioned locals and visitors to always maintain a safe distance when interacting with wildlife in the wild.
The horrifying moment a bear attacked a security guard at a five-star vacation resort in Colorado, USA, was caught on startling video back in October of last year.
The black bear was shown on camera entering the kitchen and then making its way back via the other rooms.
