Baig to lead Pakistan in Vietnam Faldo Series
LAHORE: Ahmed Baig – a young, promising amateur golfer of the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) – clinched the Faldo Series Pakistan Championship title in the under-21 category in Karachi, and has been nominated the Captain of Pakistan Team which will represent the country in Faldo Series Championship to be played in Vietnam in March this year. The office-bearers of Wapda Sports Board congratulated Ahmed Baig on winning the title with splendid display of his skills. Faldo Series title is yet another feather to his cap, as Ahmed brought many laurels to him, Wapda and the country during 2017 as well.
Prior to his recent victory, Ahmed Baig, won First International Amateur Golf Championship Iran in May 2017, Sri Lankan Junior Championship in August, the CNS Golf Championship Karachi in August, Corps Commander Cup Golf Championship Gujranwala in October, Prime Minister Golf Championship Rawalpindi in November and Punjab Amateur Golf Championship Lahore in November 2017.
