Girls outsmart boys in HSSC Part II examinations

The girls students once again bagged top positions in the annual examination of Higher Secondary School Certificate Part II held under the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Rawalpindi.
The result was announced in a ceremony graced by Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and attended by PML-N leaders including ex-MPA, Sardar Nasim, Green Task Force Chairman Dr. Jamal Nasir and other concerned officials, students and their parents.
According to the result announced by RBISE Controller of Examination, Shahzeen Sulaman, a pre-medical student (Roll No 719164) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town bagged the overall first position in the examination by securing 1025 marks. She was followed by a Pre-Engineering Group Boys, Shahid Nadeem, (Roll No 704664) from Oxford Public Boys Higher Secondary School, Pindi Gheb, Attock who secured over all second position by getting 1014 marks in the examination.
The third position was grabbed by pre-engineering group girl student, Aqsa Malik, (Roll No 719741) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. She attained 1012 over all marks. Another girl student of the same institution, Sana Akhtar, pre-medical, (Roll no 719188) also shared the third position along with Aqsa Malik, by obtaining 1012 marks.
In General Science Group for Girls, Natasha Javed (Roll No 72007) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town, bagged first position by securing 994 marks, whereas Arshia Ejaz (Roll No 720011) of the same institution got 990 marks to remain second in general science group Girls. Another student of the same institution, Lyba Ejaz (Roll No 720009) bagged third position by getting 975 marks.
In General Science Group for Boys, Osma Rehman (Roll No 728985) bagged first position by achieving 948 marks. He belonged to Steps College for Boys, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. While Muhammad Mudassir (Roll No 715868) from Military College Jhelu PO, Sarai Alamgir, got second position by getting 923 marks. Zohaib Yousaf (Roll No 715850) from Military College Jhelu, PO Sarai Alamgir got 922 marks and was placed third in the group. In the Pre Engineering Group (Girls), Aqsa Malik Roll No 719741) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi who had grabbed overall first position in the HSSC Part II examination, attained first position in the group by obtaining 1012 marks.
While Ammarah Waheed, (Roll No 719738) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town achieved 1010 marks by bagging second position in the group. Khadija Mehboob Dar (Roll No 719783) also from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town stood third by getting 1003 marks.
Shahid Nadeem of Oxford Public Boys Higher Secondary School, Pindi Gheb, Attock bagged overall second position in the board examination by getting first position in Pre-Engineering Group for Boys. Basit Ali (Roll No 711517) of Kallar Kahar Science College for Boys, Kallar Kahar, Chakwal got 998 marks to get second position in the group. Muhammad Yasaal Minhas, (Roll No 711785) secured third position by getting 995 marks.
In Pre-Medical Group for Girls, overall top position holder, Shahzeen Sulaman, (Roll No 719164) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town bagged the overall by securing 1025 marks. While Sana Akhtar, who shared over all third position in the board examination remained second in the group and Sabina Ahmad (Roll No 719162) from Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi remained third as she got 1008 marks.
In Pre-Medical Group Boys, Umer Irshad (Roll No 729639) from Punjab College of Information Technology, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi bagged first position by getting 1010 marks. Touseef Ali (Roll No 711443) of Kallar Kahar Science College for Boys, Kallar Kahar, Chakwal also shared first position by getting 1010 marks. While another student of the same institution, Muti Ullah, (Roll No 711437) grabbed second position by securing 999 marks, followed by Abdullah Azzam (Roll No 728848) of Steps College for Boys, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi bagged third position by securing 997 marks.
After the announcement of result, the chief guest, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar congratulated the top position holders and other students as well for getting outstanding marks. He told that the motto of the Punjab government is to provide education to each and every one. For this purpose educational institutions both schools and colleges for boys and girls are being opened in all parts of the province. Without getting education, one could not succeed and survive in his life.
Later on, he distributed certificates and medals among the top position holders in the examination.
