The Roots International School (RIS) has initiated partnerships with Turkey’s leading academic institutions — Bilgi University and Fatih University.
The collaboration between Roots International School and Turkish universities focuses on academic partnerships and student exchange camps. The initiative would promote new scholastic endeavours, learning opportunities and exposure for the RIS high school and Roots International University College students.
The Department of Global Reach, School Links and International Placements of the RIS has been working rigorously to provide prospective students with accurate, current and comprehensive information on global education. Taking the mission forward, Ms. Noor Raza Cheema, career counsellor of Roots International Schools, as part of a professional development programme, had the opportunity to visit Turkey for a week and meet the international office staff in Turkish universities — Ozyegin University, Zirve University, Ipek University, Int’l Antalya University, Gediz University and S.Sah University. As part of network of Pakistani counsellors group, the visit gave her an insight about Turkish culture, first-hand knowledge about Turkish higher education, build professional relationships and explore collaboration avenues and tour universities located in four major cities Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara and Antalya. The goal of the tour was to give high school counsellors from Pakistan a better understanding of higher education in Turkey, so that they may better guide students who are looking to study abroad.
