A 50-year-old man was murdered by his sons over a property dispute in Orangi Town on Monday.
The victim was identified as Nadeem Ahmed and was a resident of Chandani Road situated in Orangi Town no 11½.
Pakistan Bazaar SHO Zaheer Hussain told The News that the deceased was retired and for the past few months had been involved a property dispute with his three sons. His sons, Kashif, Atif and Asif, according to the SHO, had been threatening their father to get him to hand over the rights of a piece of land and a house to them.
Ahmed had already paid a handsome amount to his sons but they were still forcing him to hand over all his property to them. On Monday afternoon, Ahmed left the house to buy some groceries and his sons met caught him on the way. After a heated argument between the father and sons, the latter opened fire at the elder man and fled the scene.
