‘PTI to make Seraiki province if voted to power’

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf national organiser Shah Mehmood Qureshi has assured creation of the Seraiki province after coming to power.
Addressing a meeting at Union Council 75 here on Monday, he said that the PTI was committed to solve problems of the region. He said that he would fight for the rights of the people of the Seraiki region. The PPP and PML-N had been playing with the Seraiki issue while the PML-N created confusion by making a Bahawalpur province demand.
He said that the PTI did not believe in playing with the issue but it would take solid measures to set up the Seraiki province if voted to power. He said the PTI would bring revolution and protect the rights of the people through ballots.
He said that the PTI was committed to resolve problems of the people of south Punjab according to the party manifesto. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the PTI was not only a name but an ideology. The nation had tested the PPP and PML-N for five times and they had disappointed them, he added.
He said that both the parties had failed to provide relief to the people. He said that the Seraiki region had been playing a key role in agriculture but it was facing several problems, including unscheduled loadshedding. He said that the loadshedding had promoted flight of capital from the country. He said that over 1,200 people had died in Karachi while the senior officers of Sindh had gone abroad. He said that PTI chairman Imran Khan was the only hope for the downtrodden classes of the country. Paying tribute to the armed forces, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan Army was fighting to end terrorism from the country.
Earlier, senior political and social activist Syed Mazhar Shah Mashhadi along with their friends joined the PTI. Makhdoomzada Zain Qureshi also spoke on the occasion.
