Sports icons offer memorabilia for auction

KARACHI: Several legendary sportspersons including Jahangir Khan, Islahuddin and Sarfraz Ahmed have offered memorabilia they used in big triumphs for auction to help financially unstable athletes, ground staff and organisers.
Sarfraz Ahmed has given his bat used during the 2017 Champions Trophy for auction. Squash icon Jahangir Khan gave his autographed racket — used the in British Open final — while Olympian Islahuddin presented his hockey stick used in the 1978 World Cup final. The initiative was taken by the Karachi Sports Forum (KSF) with an aim to help the financially unstable members of the sports fraternity.
