MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the symbol of immature and childish politics in Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference here, he said Bilawal has no worth and wisdom. The PPP is committing serious rights violations against the Hindu Bheel community which parted ways with the PPP and joined the PTI. He said Bilawal should resign from the chairmanship of the Human Rights Committee after crushing the Hindu minority in Sindh. Bilawal should not speak Indian language regarding Kashmir but should protect the interests of Pakistan. Bilawal talks childishly that a deal on Kashmir will not be allowed. Bilawal and his father, who are talking about the Kashmir deal, look at themselves. Bilawal talks about giving ‘NRO’ to Kulbhushan. The government is not giving any ‘NRO’ to Kulbhushan. Rather, it is following the orders of the International Court of Justice.

Qureshi said the law is being flouted in Sindh. In Tharparkar, an honorable member of the Hindu Bheel tribe is being victimized for joining the PTI. Violence against members of the Hindu community in Sindh violates not only the basic human rights but also the rights of the minorities enshrined in the Constitution.

He said Maryam Nawaz is facing panic and confusion. He said he wants to make it clear to her that the elections in Azad Kashmir are being held under the supervision of her own party PMLN. Does she not trust her party? The PTI is getting full support in the Azad Kashmir election campaign, he said.

He said intolerance is on the rise in the country's politics that is unfortunate. Positive criticism in politics is permissible. Why the opposition leader was not included in the Standing Committees in Sindh.

Talking about the Afghan situation, the foreign minister said Pakistan has the only objective of peace in Afghanistan to strengthen regional connectivity and the United States is also committed to peace in Afghanistan that is a common ground between the two countries. He said Pakistan has a deep understanding with the US on all matters including peace in Afghanistan. The whole world is watching the role of Pakistan. He said he had a long talk with the US secretary of state while he also briefed the National Assembly’s Foreign Committee in an eight-hour meeting in which the same agenda was discussed.

He said Pakistan has held three sessions with the Taliban. Pakistan has facilitated a meeting in Doha to strengthen peace. Pakistan does not want Afghanistan to fall victim to any civil war. Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan. There can be no peace by force. Efforts for the Afghan peace process will continue in Doha.

He said the Afghan foreign minister has been invited to Pakistan. He is also in touch with the political leadership of Afghanistan. Efforts are being made to unite all the forces of Afghanistan and talks are under way with all stakeholders. Pakistan is consulting other countries regarding the Afghan problem. He said that in connection with the Afghan peace process, he is going to Tajikistan. After Tajikistan, he will go to Uzbekistan, where the prime minister will also come.

Qureshi said Pakistan is serving more than 3 million Afghan refugees. Pakistan can't afford any more burden. In response to a question, he said: “On Friday, I had a conversation with the US secretary of state and had the opportunity to hear his views. The United States considers Pakistan a close and constructive ally. Both the United States and Pakistan are on the same page. Today, the two countries have agreed to negotiate peace in Afghanistan.” In response to a question, he said: “When we talk about inflation, we have to look at the prices of oil and dollars in the world market. Controlling inflation is the government’s top priority and it will be brought under control soon.” He said the IT Ministry has approved increasing the scope of the 4G service at a cost of Rs 6.47 billion at 28 places for the promotion of information technology in South Punjab. The project will start from Khanewal and Multan and the entire South Punjab will benefit from the 4G service.

Criticizing Multan Commissioner Javed Akhtar Mehmood, he said: “He is creating serious problems in Multan.” He said he is ready to meet the commissioner in the interests of Multan because serious issues are developing in the Multan Municipal Corporation.
