Fazl says PTI govt will soon meet its logical end
MANSEHRA: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said the government has failed at all fronts and time is not far when it would meet its logical end.
"The political parties' joint struggle from the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) platform to dislodge this government is gaining momentum and the time is not far when our peaceful struggle will meet with success," he said while speaking to reporters here on Sunday.
The JUI chief earlier addressed a condolence reference for his party's central leader Maulana Ghulam Nabi Shah, who had passed away after a protracted illness recently. He said though the Pakistan People's Party had quit the PDM but he hoped the rest of the parties, which were part of the alliance, could dislodge Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government through a joint struggle being waged against it.
"I am sure that none of the successive general elections held in this country since 1947 were free and impartial and this is why the role of establishment couldn't be brought to an end," the Maulana said.
He said people should rise up for ensuring free and impartial elections and support the PDM in dislodging the PTI government which, he said, had been brought into power by the establishment.
The Maulana said that PDM's recent public show in Swat was an eye-opener for the government.
"We are going to hold history's biggest public gathering in Karachi on Independence Day and will reveal our future strategy to oust this government," he added.
The JUI chief said that pre-poll rigging by the PTI in the election for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir's legislative assembly was at its peak as almost all electables from various political parties were being forced to join the ruling party.
"We will never allow the government to have such a friendship with the United States which could affect our relations with China," he said.
