Two bike-riders gun down man at Tarnol
ISLAMABAD: In a target killing incident at Tarnol, two motorcycle-riding gunmen gunned down a man Saturday morning near a hotel.
The man was identified as Saifullah resident of Tarnol; police said, adding that the body has been shifted to the PIMS hospital for post- mortem. Meanwhile, the federal Capital police have arrested 11 persons for aerial firing and display of weapons on social media as they launched a massive crackdown on the law-breakers.
According to the officials, IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamilur Rehman has directed a full-scale crackdown on those involved in aerial firing and display of weapons especially on social media. The police moving on the directions of SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer arrested 11 persons from different areas of the district during the past four days. Separate cases have been registered at police stations Aabpara, Kohsar, Secretariat, Ramana, Golra, Sihala, Tarnol and Lohi Bher.
The IGP said the police’s social media cell continuously monitors the activities of the people involved in aerial firing and other crimes.
