FAISALABAD: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Monday inaugurated a 60-bed paediatric nursery and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the Allied, which had been completed at a cost of Rs 50 million with the financial support of local philanthropists.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Law Minster Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the Punjab government was very much committed to provide advanced medical facilities to the patients in public hospitals and billion of rupees were being spent for providing the most advanced medical machinery/equipment in the public hospitals, besides establishing new hospitals for providing medical cover to the patients at their doorsteps. He said that the largest Children Hospital of the Asia was being completed in Faisalabad in which outdoor and emergency facilities had been made functional. He said that the tehsil headquarters hospitals and the BHUs had also been upgraded.
He said that the policy had been adopted to establish new hospitals at the four corners of the city Faisalabad for sharing the burden of the Allied Hospital. Under the policy, 250-bed Government General Hospital had been established at Ghulam Muhammadabad and 50-bed Government General Hospital Samanabad was being expanded to 250-bedded while 250-bed General Hospital was being established at Haseeb Shaheed Colony, he added.
