The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has contributed in the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Fund. Through the Ehsaas Telethon that went on air on Thursday through all leading television channels of Pakistan, the SSGC contributed Rs30 million to the national cause.
An announcement to this effect was made by Chairperson SSGC Dr Shamshad Akhtar at the telethon transmission, said a press release issued by the gas utility.
It added: “SSGC has always played its due role in providing wholehearted assistance to alleviate the hardships of fellow Pakistanis during any moment of crisis. Currently, SSGC is providing relief to the citizens affected by the chain of events that transpired as a result of COVID-19.
“The Company is providing monetary support to the hospitals located in Sindh and Balochistan to enable them to carry COVID-19 tests and provide necessary treatment to the confirmed cases.”
In the current lockdown situation, the company had remained focused on providing an uninterrupted gas supply to its domestic and industrial customers so that they did not face any kind of inconvenience, said the press release.
