Lizzo reveals major update about her sobriety journey
The singer shared a proud moment from her wellness journey
Lizzo is opening up about her sobriety journey.
The singer revealed that she is doing well as she has reached her two-month sobriety from alcohol.
The 'About Damn Time' crooner took to her Instagram account on April 2 and posted an odd face in her story while sharing the update.
“When hg think getting me drunk will be fun but I genuinely give off this vibe when drunk," she captioned the photo.
Lizzo added in her note that it has been “2 months" since she had "no alcohol.”
As Lizzo is focusing on her alcohol consumption, she has also prioritized her fitness journey for the past few years.
She told Women's Health back in July, “I’ve never regretted a workout."
“After, I always feel better. I work out for mental health first. Exercise is the best mood enhancer."
About her relationship with food in the past, she noted, “There were times when I would eat so much that my stomach hurt. When I was done, I would be so uncomfortable, I couldn’t breathe and wouldn’t let anyone know. I would hide it."
“I had so much food noise and connected so much emotion to food. If I were sad, anxious, stressed, or working a lot, I would snack and just eat constantly.”
Now, after she began her health regimen, she created a “very sustainable” lifestyle.
“It’s a beautiful balance where it’s like, if you allow yourself to have something, you can enjoy it without overindulging and hurting yourself. I’m so proud of myself for overcoming that," she added.
