LHC condones limitation period

LAHORE :The Lahore High Court has decided to condone period of limitation in filing of certain petitions or appeals before the court or any legal forum subordinate to it on account of ban on movement imposed by the Punjab government during the Coronavirus lockdown.
“While calculating period of limitation for any such litigation, provided under the Limitation Act 1908 or any other law, the institution branches of this Court, at principal seat as well as at its branches, district courts and all other legal forums under the control and subordination
of this court, shall be deemed to be closed from March 24 to April 7, 2020,” says a notification issued by LHC Registrar Bahadar Ali Khan.
